Editorial approach
Every article is structured around the questions a parent actually asks: what to look for, what is age-appropriate, which safety considerations matter, and which features are worth comparing. We avoid first-person ownership claims unless a product has genuinely been handled or tested.
How content is produced
We use automation and AI-assisted drafting to research and organise parts of the catalogue. New pages must pass structural and duplication checks before publication, and the existing catalogue is reviewed in stages. Automation helps with coverage; it is not evidence that a toy has been tested.
Unless an article explicitly describes our test method and evidence, it is based on public product information and editorial analysis rather than hands-on testing. We do not invent ownership, testing, professional approval, or first-hand experience.
Recommendation standard
A useful buying guide should explain the decision, not merely repeat a product description. We look for clear age fit, practical advantages and drawbacks, safety or supervision considerations, and the circumstances in which a toy is or is not a good choice. We reserve “best” for pages that make and support meaningful selections.
Safety, developmental, historical, and technical claims should be verifiable. Where the evidence is incomplete or product variants differ, the article should say so and direct readers to the current manufacturer guidance.
Corrections
Older pages may be withdrawn from discovery while they are consolidated or brought up to this standard. We retain an audit trail rather than silently replacing weak material. If you spot an incomplete section, duplicate guide, or factual problem, email hello@toyreviews.com with the page address.
No-nonsense
